the Each Week, One Beast project: week 29

This week's beast is a small part of a larger (but still very small!) drawing, and also an introduction to Otto, a cat of extreme grumpiness. I think we'll be having more of him around here, because, since I am currently pet-less in real life, I have been entertaining myself with tales of Otto and all the shitty things that annoy him. Like being stuffed in a loaf pan. He hates that. I'm just at the brainstorming stage, so if you can think of anything that might really get Otto's goat, do share!

I think Otto definitely thinks if he has to paint one more piece of neglected exterior trim wood on the cat house, he is going to spit nickels. Spit them across the room, I say. And also? And also? If Otto's shoes do not dry in the next twenty-four hours. someone is getting a big thump!

I resemble that cat...Er, I mean...yes, there certainly are a lot of annoyances in this sweaty life; dog drool, dog hair, dog barking, dog chasing. And I'm not even a cat. I'll come up with a long list of complaints.

Excellent! These are just the sort of facts about Otto I was hoping for. I think the idea of "someone is getting a big thump" is probably a general rule to live by, for Otto, when things go wrong. Which they do.
