the Each Week, One Beast project: week 19

Screech owl in the pines. Everywhere I go, I am ALWAYS looking for owls. That is why I trip and fall so much. And also why I forget the things I am supposed to bring with me. I haven't seen an owl in the feather lately, so I keep a virtual eye on things at the Avian Reconditioning Center for Birds of Prey. Someone there takes great pictures of their birds. I am in love with the little one-eyed screech owl...

This series just gets better and better! My son is a raptor biologist, so I especially love the owls you've been doing!

Drew has seen TWO owls this week on his runs! He thinks they're boyfriend and girlfriend. I want to know where the nest is!

Thanks for the link! I've never seen an owl, it must be one of those things where once you see the first you know what you're looking for and spot them more frequently.

Thank you, Sarah! I admire your work very much, and am delighted you're enjoying these beasts.

Cadyn, that is awesome! Do you know what kind of owls they are? I mean, could you fit them in a pint glass, or would you need a mixing bowl? I just like to have a size visual for cuteness sake;)

katob427, I think you're right - owls have a little magic about them, and maybe it helps that you become obsessed with scanning the trees after you've spied one.
