I love dachshunds! This one was was drawn in response to a call for illustrated breadhats by Loaf, a comics zine of "thick sliced fun" for kids.
Incidentally, I know someone of roughly this fellow's size and shape, named Ozzie, who is Unbelievably Cute, lives in the South, and Sometimes Wears Glasses.

Hear, Hear! We are fans of the dachshund as well. I have a little mixed breed that we refer to as a chiweenie - chihuahua/doxie as far as we can tell. She's adorable. What's not to like?
My parents had a dachshund for many years...his name was Fritz, and he was so loved!!

Ah, I had a dauchshund growing up! This looks so much like him--only Fritz would never have left food anywhere near him long enough for such a pose. :) Lovely illustration.
