A Huge Accomplishment

Each winter is different for me. For example, I spent part of one winter on a tropical island in Belize, filling coconuts with rum, snorkeling, and orchestrating hermit crab races. And then for contrast, there's this winter, which I've spent part of attempting to build a staircase with crooked lumber, no math skills, and (luckily) a handy guy.

Or in other words, some winters, my frustration level bobs peacefully in the green zone, and this winter, it's shot with volcanic force into the red-hot-and-ready-to-pop zone.

But today, friends? I really accomplished something...

I put a pony on a petal!

hahahahahahahaah...some days we take what we can get...in the way of accomplishments. Nice to see forsythia.

Tell me you didn't opt out of Belize to build a staircase. . .I'm thinking the former wasn't an option this year--but was the latter an option? Belize would be delightful but the staircase would make a better poem. Anyway, you've inspired me to clip the forsythia soon so the girls can enjoy it blooming inside. It's just a matter of time before the vase gets tipped over by a child, but until then it would be something lovely to enjoy.

Ha! I love it. You've inspired me to clip some branches. It's time to bring spring inside!
