Yesterday morning, I was delighted to see that Garden Rant posted a story I'd sent them. You can read it here: A Tale of Tree-Dwelling Thieves. Thanks, Garden Rant!

Have you ever done anything with the ground cherries? They are SO tasty.
Yes! Matt made jam with them one year. It was quite good, though I was partial to the blackberry and didn't eat much of it. I would like to try it mixed with some other berries again sometime. He also made clafouti with them - yum!
Drew and I loved sampling the ground cherries at your place! I had never had them before. We think they might be a new addition to our garden next year...
Hi Cadyn, Ellen who commented above just made me aware that there are native ground cherries which apparently hail from your neck of the woods - Physalis virginiana, which I think are similar to but not quite the same as the ones you tasted at our house... Maybe you'll find some!
Ooh, thanks, Zoe! And Ellen! We'll be on the lookout...
Hi Zoe, beautiful photos! My garden is still under construction with most things now sleeping underground or dead above it. Congrats on the guest post over at Garden Rant! That's awesome!!
These shades and color are looking very beautiful. Ground cherries are very tasty as I have tasted very less time.
